Inspired by the book of the same name, an oral history of women who served in Vietnam, this is the true story of six of those women - four nurses, a Red Cross worker and a country western singer - spanning 20 years, from young idealists unprepared for the horrors of war, through their lifelong struggles to come to term with their experiences.
